Yasmin Vantuykom: How ‘Unplugging’ became luxury’s most valuable currency #63

The new status
symbol?
Being offline.

November 2025

This Week on "Scrollaholics"...

Offline is the new luxury. At least, that’s what Vogue says. Brands are leaning into analog experiences, tactile materials, and slower ways of living, because apparently, scrolling less is suddenly chic. Tote bags filled with books, puzzles, and journals are trending on TikTok. A flip phone or “no followers” status? Instant cool. Wearing yesterday’s micro-trends online is considered low-status.

It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s a statement: I control my attention. I choose real life over endless feeds. I can breathe without a notification buzzing every five minutes.

That’s where Quyet fits in. Analog design for your dinner parties, creativity in the office, mindful coffee breaks, or just a calm corner in your living room. Minimalist design, calm rituals, thoughtful moments: a way to live that doesn’t compete with your screen. And experts leading the way to real change.

Because let’s be honest: the world of fashion is catching up, but we don’t need a runway to tell us that stepping away from the screen feels better. Feeling luxury, feeling calm, feeling ourselves, that’s what scrolling less buys you.

What's the first thing you do the be more in control? For me it is 2 hours offline each morning.

Tomorrow I'm hosting my first offline experience in The Hoxton, together with Anouk Doore. For Quyet and Scrollaholics. A breakfast session to experience.

Yasmin Vantuykom: Newsletter #67 Peace is not something you find when life becomes calm. It is something you keep creating while life is full. June 2026 This Week on "Scrollaholics"... There are seasons in work where everything seems to happen at once. At Quyet, we are in one of those seasons. We are preparing the launch of a new collection. That means materials, samples, colors, steel, felt, photoshoots, tiny decisions that suddenly feel very big, and the constant question: is this still...
