Yasmin Vantuykom: The one resource everyone keeps underestimating #68

People aren't suffering from a lack of productivity.
They're suffering from a lack of presence.

July 2026

This Week on "Scrollaholics"...

Everyone eventually runs into the same problem.

Not enough hours? Not really.

The real challenge is deciding where to put your attention.

At Quyet we're raising investment, launching a new collection, developing new features, talking to customers, improving the product based on feedback, building partnerships and growing sales. Every task feels important. Every opportunity looks worth pursuing.

Recently, I noticed an interesting overlap with one of the biggest themes discussed at HX26 by Healf in London. The conversation wasn't about supplements, biohacks or optimisation. It was about attention, mental wellbeing, recovery and being fully present.

Technology was positioned as a tool, not the goal. The message was clear: in a world where everyone is competing for your attention, the ability to be intentional with it is becoming increasingly valuable.

We often talk about attention as a wellbeing topic, but it's just as much an workplace topic.

We don't just manage our calendar, we manage our attention. Where we choose to focus determines which opportunities we pursue, which customers we truly listen to, how well we lead our teams and ultimately how fast our company learns and grows.

Episode 10 Season 2: “Many people are feeling overwhelmed by constant change” — Bart Couwels on the importance of real connection."

Time isn’t your biggest limitation. Attention is.

People often say “time is money.”

I’m not sure that’s true anymore.

An hour is only valuable if you’re actually present during it. Constant context switching feels productive, but it usually means you’re giving half your attention to ten different things instead of your full attention to the one thing that matters most.

The result? More activity, less progress.

What to do: Decide every morning what deserves your best attention today, and protect time for it.

The fastest way to improve your business is to listen.

One thing we’ve tried to do consistently at Quyet is keep talking to customers.

Almost every conversation changes something. Sometimes it’s a feature. Sometimes it’s the positioning. Sometimes it’s something we never even considered.

Founders often feel pressure to have all the answers.

In reality, your customers usually have many of them already.

What to do: Talk to customers before making assumptions. Listening is often the highest ROI activity in your week.

Build around timeless human needs.

One thing I found interesting from the discussions around HX26 is that the conversation seems to be shifting.

Less optimisation.

Less obsession with data.

More focus on recovery, connection, purpose and attention.

It also made me laugh when I realised that “quiet luxury” has become one of the biggest trends of the moment.

Maybe the name Quyet was a good choice after all.

Because whether you’re building a business or building better habits, I don’t think people are looking for more technology.

They’re looking for more intention.

And that starts with something surprisingly simple: being present.

Yasmin Vantuykom: Newsletter #67 Peace is not something you find when life becomes calm. It is something you keep creating while life is full. June 2026 This Week on "Scrollaholics"... There are seasons in work where everything seems to happen at once. At Quyet, we are in one of those seasons. We are preparing the launch of a new collection. That means materials, samples, colors, steel, felt, photoshoots, tiny decisions that suddenly feel very big, and the constant question: is this still...

Yasmin Vantuykom: Newsletter #66 No one hands you the next step. You make it, and then you take it. April 2026 This Week on "Scrollaholics"... Someone told me last week: “You’re relentless. I see you everywhere” And I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Because I think they meant it as a compliment. But from the inside, relentless does not always feel beautiful. It feels like waking up every day knowing there is no plan B. No one is coming to hand you the next step. No one is going to say:...
