Yasmin Vantuykom: What our customers taught us #69

We listen.
We learn.
We build.

July 2026

This Week on "Scrollaholics"...

One of the biggest advantages of being a startup?

We don’t have to spend six months discussing an idea in five different committees.

We can listen, learn and improve fast.

Over the past months, we’ve had hundreds of conversations with HR teams, leaders, families and early Quyet users. Every workshop, every meeting room installation and every product delivered has generated valuable feedback.

Some of our best improvements didn’t come from a brainstorm. They came from listening.

That’s something we never want to lose as we grow.

A small update we’re excited about

One request kept coming back:

“Could the Quyet do more than simply be a beautiful home for our phones?”

So we built it.

From now on, every Quyet includes an integrated NFC tag.

Simply tap your phone to activate your personal Quyet Mode. From that moment on, your own Focus Mode, notification settings or custom automation can start automatically.

The Quyet is no longer just a beautiful design object.

It becomes the trigger for a new habit.

A thank you

To celebrate this update—and to thank everyone who has shared feedback with us—we’re offering the current collection at a special price until the end of this week.

€95 (VAT included) instead of the regular retail price.

Every Quyet ordered this week will include the new integrated NFC functionality.

Thank you for helping us build something better, one conversation and one improvement at a time.

1. Fall in love with the problem, not your solution. Customers don’t care about your roadmap. They care about their challenge. The faster you understand what really creates value, the faster your product improves.

2. Feedback is a gift—even when it’s uncomfortable. The best feedback often hurts a little. It forces you to rethink assumptions, simplify your product or let go of ideas you were convinced were brilliant. That’s exactly how startups become better.

3. Move faster than perfection. Large organisations often need months to change direction. A startup shouldn’t. If customers consistently tell you something can be better, listen. Test it. Improve it. Move. Progress beats perfection.

Since using Quyet, I truly realized how dependent we are on our phones. Whether during meetings or family dinners, conversations become calmer, deeper and simply more enjoyable once the phones are away. It's a small habit with a surprisingly big impact. On top of that, Quyet is beautifully designed and fits perfectly into any home or meeting room.

Yasmin Vantuykom: Newsletter #67 Peace is not something you find when life becomes calm. It is something you keep creating while life is full. June 2026 This Week on "Scrollaholics"... There are seasons in work where everything seems to happen at once. At Quyet, we are in one of those seasons. We are preparing the launch of a new collection. That means materials, samples, colors, steel, felt, photoshoots, tiny decisions that suddenly feel very big, and the constant question: is this still...

Yasmin Vantuykom: Newsletter #66 No one hands you the next step. You make it, and then you take it. April 2026 This Week on "Scrollaholics"... Someone told me last week: “You’re relentless. I see you everywhere” And I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Because I think they meant it as a compliment. But from the inside, relentless does not always feel beautiful. It feels like waking up every day knowing there is no plan B. No one is coming to hand you the next step. No one is going to say:...
